The neighborhood

A quiet, picturesque and safe neighborhood of Lavrio, with easy parking spaces and friendly neighbors. Just 5 minutes walk from the center and the port of the city, for every daily need (supermarket, mini market, pharmacies, health center, etc.), but also for entertainment (restaurants, cafes, ouzo, bars, cinema etc.).

The city of Lavrio

Lavrio has a very long history due to the mining activities in the wider area since ancient times.

The modern city has been built since 1865, based on an even plan, it is decorated with large squares, groves, free spaces and a number of important neoclassical buildings.

Characteristic is the multitude of palm trees that adorn many places and above all the famous grove of Kyprianos known as 'Palm Forest'. Sights are several neoclassical buildings, such as the offices of the first mining company in the port which today house the Town Hall, the French Wharf, the Clock tower, the building of the Arts Friend's Association (now the Cultural Center), the building of the old 1st Primary School, the building of 'Euterpi' which housed the old Philharmonic of the city, the Fish Market, with its many taverns and cafes, as well as many other private buildings. Also important attractions are the Ancient Theater of Thorikos at the entrance of Lavrio, as well as the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio which is only 10 minutes away by car.

From Lavrio to Sounio you will discover a wonderful coastline with beautiful beaches and blue waters to enjoy your summer baths.
